Disclosure requirements in applications for patents and other intellectual property titles related to genetic resources and traditional knowledge have become increasingly common in patent laws, other industrial property laws as well as access and benefit-sharing legislation for genetic resources. A diverse range of legislative and administrative measures have been enacted, which establish widely differing requirements in terms of their scope, nature and consequences of non-compliance. Implementation of existing requirements is ongoingly evolving and new requirements are ongoingly being added.

This information resource provides the full texts of legislative and administrative measures which establish such disclosure requirements and have come to the attention of WIPO. It aims to provide an up-to-date resource for all stakeholders who are concerned with disclosure requirements.
