The WIPO Singapore Office (WSO) hosted participants of the WIPO–IPOS International Executive Programme in Intangible Asset Management on 10 April 2026, highlighting WSO’s role as a strategic regional hub supporting the ASEAN intellectual property ecosystem. The visit formed part of the programme’s concluding learning journey under the theme “Intellectual Property x Artificial Intelligence: Innovating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
During the session, WSO representatives presented WIPO’s global IP services and dispute resolution frameworks, with a focus on how these tools are accessed, adapted and leveraged by ASEAN innovators, enterprises and institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on WSO’s role in bridging global IP systems with regional needs, especially in the context of emerging technologies, cross‑border commercialisation and technology‑driven disputes.
The visit also strengthened WSO’s engagement with IP decision‑makers and practitioners operating across the region. Insights shared by participants contributed to WSO’s understanding of evolving challenges faced by the ASEAN IP community, supporting its ongoing efforts to tailor capacity‑building, outreach and dispute resolution services to regional priorities.
As the concluding component of the five‑day executive programme, the visit reaffirmed WIPO’s commitment, through its Singapore Office, to supporting ASEAN’s innovation‑led growth and strengthening regional connectivity to global IP infrastructure. WSO will continue to engage closely with the IP community across the region, working with partners, practitioners and institutions to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
Through these efforts, WSO will play an active role in advancing WIPO’s and WSO’s strategic positioning and goals, and in fostering a future‑ready, resilient and inclusive IP ecosystem for ASEAN.
