The WIPO Singapore Office, together with IPOS Society and the Licensing Executives Society (LES) Singapore, marked the conclusion of the SG IP Community Career Mentorship Program, bringing 25 mentors and 24 mentees together to reflect on four months of learning, exchange and connection within Singapore’s IP community.
Launched on May 13, 2026, the program connected experienced IP professionals with emerging practitioners to encourage knowledge sharing, professional development and stronger connections across the IP ecosystem. Over the course of the program, mentors and mentees met and exchanged experiences, perspectives and practical insights on navigating careers in intellectual property.

The Closing Ceremony brought participants back together to look back on their mentorship journey. In their reflections, Christabel Koh, Constance Leong, Lyca Balita, Lim Jia Sheng, Shifali Chatrath, Dr Ho Wanxing Eugene, Alan Ng and Terence Loh spoke about their own career paths, learning from those who had walked similar paths before them, and the value of having someone with whom to exchange questions and perspectives. They also reflected on the relationships built during the program and the hope that these connections would continue beyond the formal mentorship period.

The event also provided an opportunity to introduce participants to WIPO’s IP for Her initiative, with Esther Loh of the WIPO Singapore Office sharing how the initiative supports women in using the intellectual property system and participating in the innovation and creative sectors.

The mentorship program reflects the value of bringing together different generations and experiences within the IP profession. Through its collaboration with IPOS Society and LES Singapore, WIPO Singapore will continue to support opportunities for IP professionals to learn from one another, build connections and contribute to a stronger IP community.
