IAP: Ecuador

Income eligibility criteria:

  • An individual earning less than three monthly “unified basic remunerations”.
  • A microenterprise with between 1 and 9 employees and turnover less than $100,000.
  • A small enterprise with between 10 and 49 employees and turnover between $100,001 and $1,000,000.

Documentation required to demonstrate eligibility:

  • Sworn statement certifying your remuneration (for individual inventors). 
  • Unified MSME Registry issued by the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries (for micro and small enterprises). 
  • Description of your invention. 
  • Drawings that explain the invention. 
  • Search report prepared by a competent organization or person, or independently (optional, if a prior art search has been performed).
