IPMC | Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) Green Technology Intellectual Property Management Clinic (IPMC) Officially Launches

On May 19, 2026, WIPO, in cooperation with the Green Technology Bank (GTB) and with the support of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, officially launched the Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) Green Technology Intellectual Property Management Clinic (IPMC). More than 60 participants attended the event, including representatives from green technology enterprises and service organizations in the Yangtze River Delta region, as well as senior mentors and experts in the field of intellectual property.

The opening was followed by a four-day intensive training program designed to meet the needs of the 20 enterprises selected to participate. The training focused on intellectual property portfolio management and operations, including expansion strategies for green technology enterprises, with the goal of supporting the high-quality development and global deployment of the green industry in the Yangtze River Delta.

The overall goal of this edition of the IPMC program is to support green technology enterprises in making better use of intellectual property services, helping them integrate IP strategies throughout the entire chain of research and development, industrialization, and global expansion.

IPMC Shanghai is dedicated to enterprises in the green technology sector across the Yangtze River Delta. The 20 selected innovative enterprises, working in fields such as energy conservation and environmental protection, the circular economy, and clean energy, will receive support in international patent portfolio planning, licensing negotiations, risk prevention and control, and dispute resolution. Through a diverse range of formats, including centralized lectures, one-on-one mentoring, on-site enterprise training, and experience sharing, the program will provide end-to-end IP strategic diagnosis and customized guidance, helping participating enterprises build an intellectual property strategy system tailored to their development needs.
