Our One Day IP Workshop for Startups offers founders a unique opportunity to engage in personalized, interactive sessions with Intellectual Property (IP) experts. This program is designed to help startups understand IP fundamentals, explore how IP applies to their business, and receive tailored guidance based on WIPO’s IP Diagnostics tool.

This one-day event equips startups with the knowledge and tools they need to leverage IP as a strategic asset in their entrepreneurial journey.

WIPO IP Diagnostics

The IP Diagnostic Tool helps you identify your business' IP assets and provides you with an automated report with basic information on how to manage these assets.

How the Program Works:

The workshop follows a structured six-step process to ensure maximum value for startups:

  • Step 1

    Request from Member State

    A member state requests participation in the program.

  • Step 2

    Selection of Beneficiary Institution

    An entrepreneurship center, accelerator, or IP office is selected to co-organize the activity with WIPO.

  • Step 3

    Selection of Startups

    Up to 10 startups are carefully chosen to participate
  • Step 4

    Selection of Experts

    Experts with strong backgrounds in IP and business are selected to guide the sessions.
  • Step 5

    Preparatory Session

    Participating startups join a preparatory session on IP basics and complete an IP self-assessment.

  • Step 6

    Workshop Day

    Startups take part in the full-day workshop, including one-on-one sessions with IP experts to review their pre-generated WIPO IP Diagnostics reports and discuss IP opportunities tailored to their business.
