Chile has been a member of WIPO since 1975 and is a signatory to over 16 WIPO treaties.

The national IP offices of Chile are the Intellectual Rights Department (DDI) at the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage and National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI). The offices are located in Santiago de Chile.
