Why Electrifying Truck Fleets is Really a Digital Problem

You might have a certain idea of the problem you want to solve, but follow the customers and understand what they really need to help. Inform the types of products that you are going to be building.

We started the charge a couple of years ago because fleets were facing two significant problems. The first was being challenged to decarbonize their fleets while also trying to save money. I think one of the tips that I give young entrepreneurs is really to look at your ecosystem in each country and in each region, there is significant support for startups, which hasn't been there in the past, let's say 10 or 15 years ago.

So looking at who can help you, who can support you, and really reaching out for that help, start thinking about product development early on from the first conversation you're having with the customer. Those insights are really critical in informing what you're going to build. As a tech startup, we've been using intellectual property development from the start. I think that entrepreneurs should think about IP quite actively, specifically in terms of registering your IP, things like trademarks and looking at early patents.
