Training Program on Cambodia’s New Online Filing Service

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in cooperation with the Department of Industrial property (DIP) under the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MISTI) organized the National Public Awareness/Capacity-Building Workshop on Online Filing Service in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with support from Funds-In-Trust Japan Industrial Property Global (FIT/Japan IP Global).
The National Public Awareness/Capacity-Building Workshop was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on January 14, 2025.
The workshop aimed to promote and provide training on Cambodia’s new online filing service for patents, utility models, and industrial design registration. Utilizing the WIPO File online filing system, the service is fully integrated with online and mobile payment solutions, making the application process more accessible and efficient.
The workshop was officially opened by H.E. Hem Vanddy, Minister of MISTI, who delivered keynote remarks, marking this important milestone for Cambodia’s intellectual property system. A total of 91 participants, including IP agents, university representatives, local business representatives, and government officials, attended the workshop.
The workshop successfully raised awareness and provided training on the use of Cambodia’s new online filing service.
