Collaboration in Action in Viet Nam

August 16, 2022

The WIPO Singapore Office had the pleasure of collaborating with the Viet Nam IP Association (VIPA) and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to jointly organize a webinar for SMEs on IP Protection in the Digital Age.

Nearly 150 participants from a variety of business sectors joined the webinar that featured presentations from the LEGO Group, Proctor & Gamble and WIPO.

The LEGO Group, and Proctor & Gamble shared their strategies to dealing with online infringement of IP rights. The WIPO speakers covered topics such as how to identify IP rights violations, the role of ISPs in infringement cases, resolving domain name disputes and the value of using alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

Feedback from the participants collected via a post-webinar survey found that 100% of respondents were satisfied with the webinar, and 100% also advised that the webinar enhanced their understanding of IP enforcement policies and ways to effectively use IP for development.

The webinar’s success was largely due to the excellent support the WIPO Singapore Office received from VIPA and VCCI who helped promote the event to their members.
