Section I, Chapter 9 of the Decree No. 770 of 2005 deals with border measures for the protection against the importation of IPR infringing goods.
In particular, Article 27 of this Chapter states that the owner of intellectual property rights or his legal representative shall have right to file a complaint with the Customs in order to suspend the release into free circulation of imported goods or products or packages involving infringement to intellectual property rights including copyrights, trademarks, geographical indications, industrial designs, patents, and integrated circuit lay-out designs
