The Decree of January 2002 is the first decree on the protection of patents, petty patents, and industrial designs.
At present, no system exists for issuing copyrights. However, a draft copyright law was developed in 2005.
In addition to this, Intellectual Property Law including copyright and related rights based on the WIPO model law and the requirements of the TRIPS Agreement was under preparation with promulgation expected in 2010.
