The notification by the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The notified text is the new Law on Industrial Property adopted in 2009. The Law regulates the acquisition, exercising and protection of industrial property rights, including patents, industrial designs, trademarks, appellation of origins and geographical indications.'
Article 325 of this Law states: 'The day this Law enters into force, the Law on Industrial Property (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 47/2002, 42/2003, 09/2004, 39/2006, 79/2007) shall cease to be valid.'
