Year of Version 1999 Dates Entry into force: July 26, 1985 Adopted: July 23, 1985 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Plant Variety Protection, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes The notification by Greece to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The Law contains provisions governing the protection of the rights of plant varieties creators. The actual implementation of the Article 8 depends on the issuing of Presidential Decrees (paragraphs 10 and 11) regarding the content and properties of plant varieties, the criteria for selection, the issuing of relevant plant variety certificates and other procedural issues.'

The English version of the law contains only Article 8 of the Law.
The Greek version is drawn from the Database of Legal Information of the Athens Bar Association, ISOKRATIS and is an unofficial consolidation.
