Year of Version 1999 Dates Entry into force: March 1, 1999 Adopted: July 17, 1998 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body Notes Part 4 of the Civil Code, entitled 'Copyrights' containing Articles 1052 to 1127, regulates the rights of authors in their literary and artistic works, and the rights of performers, phonogram producers and broadcasting organizations.
It was the main legislation on copyright and related rights in Turkmenistan before the Law of Turkmenistan No. 257-IV of January 10, 2012, on Copyright and Related Rights entered into force on January 20, 2012.
