Notes:
This Law, which repealed the Law No. 8044 of December 7, 1995 on Competition, introduces the concept of abuse of dominant position, defines and sets up a legal framework for a fair and effective market competition and an independent competition authority. It has separated antitrust legislation from the unfair competition regime, which is regulated by the provisions of the Albanian Civil Code.
