Be part of the judging and cast your vote for the students’ ideas for a better society!

On October 30, 2026, WIPO Japan Office will hold the final presentations and award ceremony of the 3rd Show and Tell Presentation Competition.
This year’s theme is “SDGs: Towards a Better Society and the Environment”.
Twenty finalists, selected from entries submitted by students across Japan, from elementary school to university, will present their ideas, inventions and creations for making society and the environment better—in their own words.
The event will also be live-streamed online, allowing viewers to take part as “General Judges” and vote for their favorite presentations.

Competition Overview
The Show and Tell Presentation Competition is open to students from elementary school to university. Participants are invited to present their own ideas through creative presentations, covering a wide range of topics including inventions, creative works, social initiatives and entrepreneurship.
For its third edition, the competition invited entries under the theme “SDGs:Towards a Better Society and Environment Better” from June 22 to August 31, 2026.
At the final event, 20 finalists—five from each of four categories: elementary school, junior high school, high school and university—will present their ideas on stage.

Live Stream Registration
If you wish to view the event online, please register in advance by clicking on the Zoom link below. There is no deadline for registration, and you can also join on the day of the event.
*Simultaneous interpretation between Japanese and English will be available.
In addition to Gold and Silver Awards in each of the four categories, an Audience Choice Award will be selected through online voting.
The nine award winners will each receive a certificate and an Amazon gift card worth up to JPY 100,000.
The winning presentations will also be translated into English and other languages and published on WIPO webpages to promote awareness of intellectual property systems in developing countries and other regions.
Last Year’s Ideas
At the previous competition, students presented a diverse range of ideas addressing issues from everyday challenges to social and environmental concerns, all from their own unique perspectives.
