科技创新给公共卫生带来了重大进步。决策者面临的挑战是,怎样建设一个环境,既可激励卫生创新,又可确保人们能够广泛获取新的、更有效的产品,以解决未满足的全球卫生需求。

WIPO全球挑战计划旨在加强对全球卫生与医学技术的获取、创新、技术转让和贸易之间复杂关联的认识和理解。目标是以知识产权为工具,为满足世界上最迫切的卫生需求做出贡献。

This episode features Danish entrepreneur Ida Tin, Co-Founder and Chairwoman of Clue, a menstrual tracking app used by millions worldwide. Credited with coining the term “FemTech”, Ida is on a mission to leverage digital technologies to improve women’s health, including by helping them better understand and manage their reproductive health.

This episode features Norah Magero, a mechanical engineer and Co-founder of Drop Access, a Kenyan social enterprise specializing in practical and reliable cold chain solutions for rural, off-grid communities.

Less than 1% of vaccines used in Africa are manufactured locally, but the need for immunization continues to grow. In this episode of WIPO’s Mission Imagination series, Mr. Patrick Tippoo, Chief Science and Innovation Officer at South Africa-based Biovac, and Executive Director and founding member of the African Vaccine Manufacturing Initiative (AVMI), shares insights on what it takes to build sustainable vaccine manufacturing ecosystems.
