Notes This consolidated version of the Control of Plants Act 1993 incorporates amendments up to the Courts (Civil and Criminal Justice) Reform Act 2021 (Act No. 25 of 2021), which entered into force on different dates: April 1, 2022; June 30, 2022; July 1, 2022; October 1, 2022; and October 15, 2024. The said amending Act No. 25 of 2021 introduced amendments (in force from April 1, 2022) to section 103, entitled “Amendment of Control of Plants Act”, under Part 13.
Section 15 of this consolidated Act protects trade secrets and commercially sensitive information in innovative pesticide applications, ensuring the Director-General keeps it confidential and does not misuse it for other purposes.
