Le Colloque mondial sur les indications géographiques est organisé tous les deux ans par l’OMPI en coopération avec un État membre intéressé. Il réunit les représentants des administrations des États membres, des fabricants de produits protégés au titre d’indications géographiques, et des spécialistes dans le domaine des indications géographiques. Le colloque sert de cadre à l’échange d’idées et de points de vue sur diverses questions relatives à l’utilisation et à la protection des indications géographiques.
