注 This consolidated version of the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations incorporates all amendments in force as of September 17, 2014, including those introduced by SOR/2014-206.
The consolidated Regulations contain provisions related to intellectual property in the context of broadcasting and retransmission of programming services. In particular, they provide safeguards against breaches of programming or underlying rights of third parties and establish conditions concerning the authorization, consent, and distribution of Canadian and non-Canadian programming services (e.g. Sections 7(e), 21–23, 48–49).
