Collaboration between WIPO and UN agencies on AI and IP

The IP discussions are closely linked to many other ongoing discussions around the regulation of AI. WIPO partners with UN agencies inclulding the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to help innovators navigate IP and commercialization approaches for AI-enabled technologies. This includes the Global Initiative on AI for Health (GI-AI4H) by WIPO, ITU and WHO. WIPO is also actively engaging in the implementation of the Global Digital Compact and has been co-leading Cluster 3 of the UN AI Governance dialogue together with UNICC.
