注 This consolidated version of Law No. 93 of July 14, 2023 incorporates amendments up to Law No. 143 of October 7, 2024 (which converted Legislative Decree No. 113 of August 9, 2024, containing urgent fiscal measures, extensions of regulatory deadlines, and economic interventions, into law).
The amending Law No. 143 of 7 October 2024, which was published on 8 October 2024 and entered into force on 9 October 2024 (see the annex of the said amending law for further amendments to this consolidated law).
This consolidated Law establishes measures to prevent and suppress the unlawful dissemination of copyright-protected content via electronic communication networks. It introduces a digital platform for processing blocking orders, defines the roles of IP address and domain name service providers, and strengthens administrative and criminal sanctions for copyright infringement. The law also sets initial quantitative limits on content blocking and provides for cooperation among stakeholders to ensure effective enforcement.
