Reminder – WIPO Global Awards 2026 for startups and SMEs

There is still time to apply for this year’s WIPO Global Awards – the closing date is 31 March 2026.

The Awards celebrate startups and SMEs that use IP to grow their businesses and generate positive impact. Ten company awards will be offered to five startups and five SMEs selected from various sectors, and a thematic award will be given to an SME in the sports sector (echoing the theme of WIPO World IP Day 2026), in addition to two Special Mentions (Best Woman Entrepreneur and Best Youth Entrepreneur).

Entrepreneurs from all industries and all regions of the world can apply, and applications are accepted in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian.
The winners will gain international recognition through the WIPO-UN network and will be offered a customized six-month mentorship on IP strategy, commercialization, and business growth. They will also have chances to connect with investors, corporations, institutions, and business hubs worldwide – including at an Awards Ceremony in Geneva during the WIPO Assemblies, to be held in July 2026.
