| The PCT Basics Webinar Series focuses on the fundamentals of the PCT system. It is designed both for those who are interested in the PCT, but are not yet very familiar with it, and for those who wish to revisit its core principles. In Episode 1,“It all starts with an invention”, we discuss the essentials of obtaining patent protection at the national and international levels, the principle of territoriality, and the advantages of the PCT System compared with applications under the Paris Convention. In Episode 2,“First steps in filing a PCT application”, we outline the basic principles of the PCT, give an overview of PCT procedures, and explain several options applicants should consider when filing a PCT application.
