New Training Opportunity: Register Now for the Executive Program on IP, Technology Transfer and Licensing

WIPO Academy, the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) and the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI-France) are jointly offering an Executive Program on intellectual property (IP), technology transfer and licensing. The in-person phase of the program will be held in Strasbourg, France from June 23 to 28, 2025. Registration for the program is open until March 9, 2025.

Who can apply?

The program is perfect for technology managers and professionals with a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) background working in research and development institutions, national IP offices and other publicly funded national institutions involved in knowledge and technology transfer. It offers participants an opportunity to enhance their IP management, commercialization and licensing skills such as marketing techniques and IP licensing agreement negotiations.

What does the program cover?

The program comprises two phases. The first phase is held online as participants must complete the Advanced IP eLearning Course on IP Management (DL-450) unless they have completed the course already in the last three years.

The second phase consists of one week of intensive training in Strasbourg, France from June 23 to 28, 2025 covering topics such as:

  • Open innovation and IP;
  • IP audits and due diligence;
  • IP marketing strategies; and
  • How to set up a technology transfer office.
