In his video message, Daren Tang noted that sports is more than competition—it is a multi-trillion-dollar industry creating jobs and opportunities for many people. Intellectual Property (IP) helps athletes push performance further, helps fans connect with their favorite team, and gives sporting companies the confidence to invest in new gear, new systems and new ideas. Intellectual property doesn't just change the game, it shapes it.

In her written speech, Wang Binying noted that China has deeply integrated intellectual property into high-quality development and the building of new quality productive forces, offering valuable experience for global IP governance. WIPO will deepen cooperation with China in areas such as capacity building, norm setting, and SME empowerment, so as to jointly improve global IP governance.
