IAP: Morocco
Income eligibility criteria:
- Individual inventors who do not engage in any business activity.
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) whose turnover does not exceed 75 million dirhams and whose permanent staff does not exceed 300 employees, in accordance with Law No. 53.00 constituting the SME charter.
- Auto-entrepreneurs withing the meaning of Law No. 114.13, whose turnover is less than or equal to 500,000 dirhams for business activities or equal to 200,000 dirhams for service provision (this is a new legal category for self-employed individuals in Morocco).
- Very small enterprises (VSEs) whose annual gross turnover is less than 3 million dirhams.
Invention eligibility criteria:
- The invention must not be subject to the exceptions and/or exclusions from patentability, within the meaning of Law No. 17-97 on the protection of industrial property.
- Technical and economic relevance of the invention.
Documentation required to demonstrate eligibility:
- Confidentiality agreement.
- Proof of annual turnover (for enterprises).
