Cambodia Joins the Hague System

On November 25, 2016, the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia deposited its instrument of Accession to the Geneva (1999) Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs. The instrument was received by Ms. Wang Binying, Deputy Director General, on behalf of the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The 1999 Act will enter to force with respect to Cambodia on February 25, 2017.

The accession of Cambodia to the 1999 Act brings the number of Contracting Parties to this Act to 52 and the total number of Contracting Parties to the Hague Agreement to 66. A list of the Contracting Parties to the Hague Agreement is available on the WIPO website.

As from February 25, 2017, Hague System users will be able to designate Cambodia in an international design application.
