Andrea Dempster Chung has helped demonstrate how arts, culture and innovation can become powerful drivers of urban regeneration and community development. As Co-founder and Executive Director of Kingston Creative, she has led the transformation of downtown Kingston, a UNESCO Creative City of Music, through public art, music, technology and creative placemaking, bringing together artists, residents, businesses and public institutions to reimagine the city as a vibrant cultural district.

An engineer, entrepreneur and strategic leader, Andrea has built bridges between government, business and the creative sector throughout her career. She has held senior management positions in the Government of Jamaica, Digicel and GraceKennedy, and has served on the boards of the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF), the National Land Agency (NLA) and the Public Health Committee, contributing to initiatives spanning community development, public policy and national planning.

She managed the British Council's Arts portfolio in Jamaica, developing strategies and delivering programmes in film, literature and the visual arts, and is a leading advocate for intellectual property protection and monetisation in the creative industries, working with national and international partners to help artists and cultural entrepreneurs capture the value of their creativity. As a creative industries consultant, she has supported governments, agencies and creative entrepreneurs across the Caribbean.

Andrea is also the founder of Bookophilia, a bookstore dedicated to Caribbean literature. She serves on the Global Creative Economy Council and the Advisory Board of the Global Cultural Districts Network, and was recognized by Forbes among ten women leading Jamaica's sustainable future through the creative industries. She holds a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, has studied Art and Finance at Sotheby's Institute of Art, and completed executive studies in Finance at Stanford University.
