Procedural Safeguards for .UA Proceedings
As of July 1, 2023, WIPO Domain Name Dispute Resolution Service for .UA is available and the WIPO Center will accept new .UA filings under .UA Policy.
The .UA Registry has adopted the "Decision on the peculiarities of application of the .UA Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy and the Rules for .UA Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy under the martial law regime" ("Decision").
In accordance with the Decision, the reinstitution of the .UA proceedings is accompanied with procedural safeguards, mainly the possibility of extending deadlines under the .UA Policy and .UA Rules.
- For .UA Registrars, the due date for submitting their RVR [but not to LOCK the domain name] may be extended up to 14 calendar days (in addition to 2 business days);
- For Respondents, the due date for submitting their response may be extended up to 14 calendar days (in addition to the 20 calendar days for submitting a response);
- For Respondents, the due date for submit a court action to the national court of Ukraine to stop the implementation of the decision may be extended up to 14 calendar days (in addition to 10 business days).
