We, KAGAME Paul,
President of the Republic,
Pursuant to the Constitution of the Republic of
Rwanda of 04 June 2003, as amended to date,
especially in Articles 29, 189, 190 and 201;
Pursuant to Law n o
26/2009 of 07/09/2009
authorising the ratification of the Patent
Cooperation Treaty signed in Washington,
United States of America, on 19 June 1970;
Having considered the Patent Cooperation
Treaty done at Washington, United States of

jour, spécialement en ses articles 29, 189, 190
et 201;
Vu la Loi n o

la ratification du Traité de coopération en
matière de brevets signé à Washington, Etats-
Unis d‟Amérique, en date du 19 juin 1970;
Considérant le Traité de Coopération en
matière de brevets signé à Washington, Etat

After consideration and approval by the Cabinet;
HAVE ORDERED AND HERE BY ORDER:
Article One: Ratification
The Patent Cooperation Treaty done at
Washington, United States of America, on 19
June 1970 as amended and complemented to
date is hereby ratified and becomes fully
effective.
Article 2: Authorities responsible for the
implementation of this Order
The Prime Minister, the Minister of Trade and
industry and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and
Cooperation are entrusted with the
implementation of this Order.

Sur proposition du Ministre du Commerce et
de l‟Industrie;
Après examen et adoption par le Conseil des
Ministres;
AVONS ARRETE ET ARRETONS:
Article premier: Ratification
Le Traité de Coopération en matière de brevets
signé à Washington, Etat Unis d‟Amérique, en
date du 19 juin 1970 tel que modifié et
complété à ce jour est ratifié et sort son plein
et entier effet.
Article 2: Autorités chargées de l’exécution du
présent arrêté
Le Premier Ministre, le Ministre du Commerce
et de l‟Industrie et le Ministre des Affaires
Etrangères et de la Coopération sont chargés
de l‟exécution du présent arrêté.

hereby repealed.
Article 4: Commencement
This Order shall come into force on the date of
its publication in the Official Gazette of the
Republic of Rwanda.

Toutes les dispositions antérieures contraires
au présent arrêté sont abrogées.
Article 4: Entrée en vigueur
Le présent arrêté entre en vigueur le jour de sa
publication au Journal Officiel de la
République du Rwanda.
