Clôture du projet de l’OMPI sur la création de marques pour les PME

The WIPO Branding Project for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria has officially concluded, marking a significant milestone in empowering female and youth-led SMEs in 3 key sectors in Nigeria - food and beverages, cosmetics, and information communications technology (ICT). This initiative, launched in September 2024 in partnership with the Nigerian Trademarks Registry, provided these businesses with the tools and knowledge to leverage branding as a strategy for business growth.

During the project, which spanned from October 2024 to January 2025, 60 SMEs were supported with training and mentorship on intellectual property (IP) management through the WIPO IP Management Clinics, designed to support businesses in integrating IP into their growth and financing strategy.

The SMEs that have successfully completed the program are presented below:

To celebrate this successful collaboration between WIPO and the Trademarks Registry in supporting SMEs to strategically use trademarks and other forms of IP to safeguard their innovations and enhance their market visibility, a closing showcase event will hold on February 20, 2025. The event will feature product exhibitions by the participants, as well as conversations by government stakeholders and IP experts.
