Singapore, 27 August 2026
The Intangible Asset Valuation Network (IAVN) was formally launched at Singapore IP Week 2026, bringing together leading organizations from the intellectual property, valuation and commercialization communities to strengthen global practices and build capabilities in intangible asset valuation. The Network’s Founding Members are the International Trademark Association (INTA), the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) and the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (IVAS).

As intangible assets such as brands, patents and data account for an increasing share of business value, reliable valuations are becoming essential to commercial, financial and policy decisions. The IAVN will provide a dedicated global platform for sharing knowledge, developing practical tools and resources, and fostering greater international alignment on best practices, while respecting diverse legal, regulatory and commercial contexts. The Founding Members will lay the foundations for deeper international cooperation and engagement with like-minded organizations for the benefit of businesses, investors, policymakers and the wider innovation community. Through its participation in the IAVN, WIPO continues to advance its work on intangible asset valuation and support greater trust and confidence in IP finance ecosystems worldwide.
