The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)'s IP for Business Division and Global Challenges Division, in strategic partnership with Rubik Hub, announces the launch of the IP Management Clinic Program for Pan-European Healthcare Startups & SMEs - a specialized initiative empowering innovative healthcare companies to transform breakthrough medical technologies into protected competitive advantages across European markets.
This clinic empowers healthcare entrepreneurs with strategic IP expertise to transform medical innovations into market-leading competitive advantages.
This Program is your gateway If you're developing:
- Medical technologies or devices
e.g. imaging systems, wearable health monitors, minimally invasive tools - Clinical or health-related datasets in the development of medical technologies
e.g. anonymized patient data from diagnostic devices or digital health applications used for product development or validation - Products and/or services incorporating digital health technologies
e.g. connected health platforms, mobile health apps, or medical devices that transmit real-time data to healthcare providers. - Healthcare solutions developed using digital tools or technologies
e.g. devices designed with digital simulation or health-focused engineering software - Creative healthcare innovations enabled by digital tools
e.g. telemedicine platforms, gamified rehabilitation solutions, sensor-based therapy programs - Drugs
e.g. novel small-molecule drug candidates, first-in-class biologics, RNA-based therapies, precision oncology platforms - Vaccines
e.g. Plug-and-play viral vector technologies, adjuvant innovation platforms

Application Requirements:
The program is particularly suitable for companies that:
- Have a clear business model and vision;
- Operate at TRL (Technology Readiness Level) 4 - 8;
- Have a team of at least two people;
- Have begun integrating IP into their business strategy
The selection process includes interviews with shortlisted companies.
Timeline & Selection Process:
- Application Deadline: March 15, 2026
- Selection Notification: End of March, 2026
- Program Implementation: March to June, 2026
Selection will be based on innovation potential, IP complexity, market readiness, and alignment with program objectives.
