En esta página se encontrará información sobre las prácticas de las Administraciones internacionales de depósito (AID) en lo relativo a la gestión de microorganismos depositados, tras el vencimiento del período de almacenamiento prescrito en la Regla 9.1 del Reglamento del Tratado de Budapest.
La Regla 9.1 del Reglamento especifica el período durante el cual una AID debe almacenar los microorganismos depositados. Puesto que el Reglamento no aborda las obligaciones de las AID con respecto a la gestión, tras el vencimiento del período de almacenamiento prescrito, de los microorganismos depositados, los Estados miembros y las AID tienen libertad para adoptar sus propias prácticas al respecto.
La información sobre estas prácticas que aquí se presenta fue remitida por las AID a la Oficina Internacional de la OMPI.
