Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia as the court of cassation does not examine the merits of the case, but provides an explanation of the interpretation and application of substantive and procedural legal norms. The main legal issue to be resolved in the case was whether it is sufficient for the trademark owner to prove the use of the trademark in connection with at least one service from each class of services in order for the trademark to be considered used for all services in that class for which it is registered.
