Law No. 400 Article 1. Any person who, with gainful intent, unlawfully duplicates or reproduces, by whatever means, cinematographic works intended for the cinema or television network, or, even without having recourse to duplication or reproduction processes, places on the market, holds for sale, brings into the territory of the State for profitmaking purposes, publicly shows or broadcasts on television such duplicates or reproductions, shall be punished by imprisonment for between three months and three years and by a fine of between 500,000 and 6,000,000 lire.
The penalty shall not be less than a minimum of six months, and the fine not less than one
