In September and October, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will host free one-day seminars on the PCT at USPTO offices across the country.
Designed for experienced PCT users, including patent agents, attorneys, foreign filing specialists and paralegals, the seminars will provide updates on the latest developments in the PCT System, best practices for US practitioners looking to avoid common PCT pitfalls, and tips for using WIPO’s ePCT platform.
Presented in a hybrid format, the seminars will allow for both in-person and virtual participation.
What to expect
These free one-day seminars will feature presentations from WIPO and USPTO experts offering an immersive, interactive experience. At the end of each seminar, participants can join one of two specialized workshops: a live ePCT demo with hands-on training exercises, or a case study of legal defects in PCT applications.
Those attending in-person will also benefit from the opportunity to engage directly with WIPO and USPTO experts and peers.
