PhageLab
Chile – Agrifood SME
Transcript
Overuse of antibiotics in meat production is making these treatments less effective in humans – a global health risk.
PhageLab replaces antibiotics in poultry and swine farming with tailor-made bacteriophage therapies. Using AI and a vast phage library, they diagnose infections and design customized “cocktails” that adapt as bacteria evolve. The company’s products already treat over 41 million chickens monthly, owning 10% of Brazil’s market.
With over 100 employees and a fully integrated model, they retain full control of production and protect their know-how through trade secrets. Operating in Brazil and Chile, a Series B fundraising round will support their next growth phase to Mexico and the US.
