The Inventor Assistance Program (IAP), together with other key WIPO activities in the field of patents, was highlighted at the 11th International Invention Fair of the Middle East (IIFME) that took place on January 27 to 30, 2019.

The IIFME is a high-level initiative at which inventors from the Middle East region have the opportunity to showcase their innovations and research outputs. During this event participants can meet with investors willing to offer support. This year, 1,559 inventors from more than 39 countries attended.

The IAP outlined the importance of supporting under-resourced inventors in protecting their inventions through the patent system.
