The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to refer to the deposit by the Government of the United Arab Emirates, on June 16, 2004, of a declaration that the United Arab Emirates availed itself of the faculties provided for in Articles II and III of the Appendix to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971 (Berne Convention) and to its subsequent deposit, on July 11, 2014, of a notification renewing the said declaration for a period of ten years with effect from October 10, 2014 (see Berne Notifications Nos. 236 and 266, respectively).
In this regard, the Director General of WIPO has the honor to notify the deposit, by the Government of the United Arab Emirates, on July 15, 2025, of a declaration according to which it avails itself of the faculties provided for in Articles II and III of the Appendix to the Berne Convention during the 10-year period that will expire on October 10, 2034.
This declaration shall enter into force, with respect to the United Arab Emirates, on October 15, 2025.
