Having considered the Additional Protocol on

the Agreement of Lusaka, Zambia of 09

December 1976 on the creation of the African

Regional Intellectual Property Organisation

(ARIPO) on patents and industrial designs

within the framework of the African Regional

Intellectual Property Organisation adopted on

10 December 1982 at Harare, Zimbabwe;

On proposal by the Minister of Trade and

Industry;

After consideration and approval by the

Cabinet;

HAVE ORDERED AND HERE BY

ORDER:

Article One: Ratification

The Additional Protocol on the Agreement of

Lusaka, Zambia of 09 December 1976 on the

creation of the African Regional Intellectual

Property Organisation (ARIPO) on patents and

industrial designs within the framework of the

African Regional Intellectual Property

Organisation adopted on 10 December 1982 at

Harare, Zimbabwe as amended and

complemented to date, is hereby ratified and

becomes fully effective.

Considérant le Protocole Additionnel sur

l‟Accord de Lusaka, Zambie du 09 Décembre

1976 portant création de l‟Organisation

Régionale Africaine de la Propriété

Intellectuelle (ARIPO) sur les patentes et

modèles industriels dans le cadre de

l‟Organisation Africaine Régionale de la

Propriété Intellectuelle (ARIPO) adopté le 10

décembre 1982 à Harare, Zimbabwe;

Sur proposition du Ministre du Commerce et de

l‟Industrie;

Après examen et adoption par le Conseil des

Ministres;

Le Protocole Additionnel sur l‟Accord de

Lusaka, Zambie du 09 Décembre 1976 portant

création de l‟Organisation Régionale Africaine

de la Propriété Intellectuelle (ARIPO) sur les

patentes et modèles industriels dans le cadre de

l‟Organisation Africaine Régionale de la

Propriété Intellectuelle (ARIPO) adopté le 10

décembre 1982 à Harare, Zimbabwe tel que

modifié et complété à ce jour, est ratifié et sort

son plein et entier effet.

Article 2: Authorities responsible for the

implementation of this Order

The Prime Minister, the Minister of Trade and

industry and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and

Cooperation are entrusted with the

implementation of this Order.

Article 3 : Repealing provision

All prior provisions contrary to this Order are

hereby repealed.

Article 4: Commencement

This Order shall come into force on the date of

its publication in the Official Gazette of the

Republic of Rwanda.

Article 2: Autorités chargées de l’exécution

du présent arrêté

Le Premier Ministre, le Ministre du Commerce

et de l‟Industrie et le Ministre des Affaires

Etrangères et de la Coopération sont chargés de

l‟exécution du présent arrêté.

Article 3: Disposition abrogatoire

Toutes les dispositions antérieures contraires au

présent arrêté sont abrogées.

Article 4: Entrée en vigueur

Le présent arrêté entre en vigueur le jour de sa

publication au Journal Officiel de la République

du Rwanda.
