Section 7 (d) and (e) of the Intell ectu al Property Code of the Phil ippines, as amend "d

by Republ ic Act No. 10372, grants enfor ement pow ers to the Intell ectu al Property

O ffice of the Phi l ippines (IPOP H L), to w it:

"SEC. 7. The Dire tor General and Deputies Direc tor ienerel. >

(c) Undertake enforcement functions supported by concerned agenc ies such as the Philippine National Police, the National Bur"au of Investigation, the Bureau

o f Customs, the ptical Media Boerds, and the local government units, among

oth ers;

(d) Conduct visits during reasonable hours to establis hments and businesses engaging in activities violating intellectual prop erty rights and provisions of this

Act based on report, iniottn etion, or complaint received by the o ffice;"

Pursuant to the above-c it d provi sions of the law, compl aints fi led relative thereto shall

be deemed as an administrativ e complaint subject to the payme nt of f i li ng fees

pursuant to O ffice O rder No. 128, Series of 2003 entitl ed, " Restructurin g the Fee

Structure of the Intellectual Property O ffice of the Phil ippines."

In addition, any party requesting for a vi sit and/or oth er actions relati ve to the above­

quoted provisions shall bear all the costs and expenses, including travel and

accommodation, of IPOPHL personnel and other law enfor .ement agencies

conduct ing the sa id visit and al l other expenses appurtenant thereto.
