Copyright And Related Rights (Recording For Purposes Of Time-Shifting) Order, 2000

I, TOM KITT, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 101(3) and section 250(3) of the Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000 (No. 28 of 2000) , and the Enterprise, Trade and Employment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No.2) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 330 of 1997 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Copyright and Related Rights (Recording for Purposes of Time-Shifting) Order, 2000 and shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 2001.

2. In this Order “the Act” means the Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000 (No. 28 of 2000) .

3. The descriptions of establishments set out in the Schedule to this Order are specified for the purposes of section 101 and section 250 of the Act.

SCHEDULE

(Regulation 3)

Multiple occupancy residential units supplied for the accommodation-

(a) of students, by educational establishments within the meaning of the Act;

(b) of patients or inmates, by establishments providing health, nursing, recuperative or hospice care; or

(c) of inmates at prisons or places of restraint which are under the administration, management or control of the Irish Prisons Service.
