Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and pursuant to section 4 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, hereby make the following Regulations under the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation Act 1980.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1986.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation (Exports) Regulations.

Interpretation

3. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of "authorized person".

Grant of licences

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) "Minister or an authorized person" and substituting "Corporation";
(b) by adding at the end of paragraph (3) (d) "and";
(c) by omitting from paragraph (3) (e) "and"; and
(d) by omitting paragraph (3) (f).

Submission and cancellation of licences

5. Regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulations (2) and (3) "Minister" and substituting "Corporation".

Application for review of decision

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "Minister or an authorized person" and substituting "the Corporation"; and
(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "Minister" and substituting "Corporation".

Repeal of regulation 12

Saving

8. A licence granted under regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations as in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations continues in force until the day on which that licence would, but for these Regulations, cease to be in force, as if it were a licence granted by the Corporation under Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations as amended by these Regulations.
