Details Details Year of Version 2000 Dates Adopted: November 13, 2000 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes The notification by New Zealand to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'This commencement Order brought into force Section 27(1) of the Copyright Act 1994 on 1 April 2001. Section 27(1) of the Act abolished Crown copyright in the following: Bills; Acts; Regulations; the New Zealand Parliamentary Debates; Reports of Select Committees laid before the house of Representatives; Judgements of courts and tribunals; Reports of Royal commissions, commission of inquiry, ministerial inquiries and statutory inquiries.'

Pursuant to section 27(2) of the Copyright Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor- General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.



1 Title

This order is the Copyright Act Commencement Order 2000.

2 Commencement of section 27(1) of Copyright Act 1994

Section 27(1) of the Copyright Act 1994 comes into force on 1 April 2001.
