Notes
The Scotland Act 1998 (Chapter 46) entered into force on different dates (see section 130 under section "Final Provisions", Part VI (Supplementary)).
Part II (Specific Reservations) under Schedule 5 (Reserved Matters) of the Act defines reserved matters, inter alia, for intellectual property but not the subject-matter of Parts I and II of the Plant Varieties Act 1997 (plant varieties and the Plant Varieties and Seeds Tribunal).
Section 92 under section entitled "Miscellaneous", Part V (Miscellaneous and General) provides that the Queen's Printer for Scotland is responsible for administering Crown copyright in Acts of the Scottish Parliament, Scottish subordinate legislation and works made by the Scottish Administration.
Paragraph 25 under Schedule 8 (Modifications of Enactments) introduced the amendments to the following provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (c. 48):
- Sections 12(9), 153(2), 163(6), 164(1), 178 & 179 amended;
- Section 166(B) inserted.
