Year of Version 2019 Dates Entry into force: January 4, 2012 Adopted: December 26, 2011 Type of Text Main IP Laws   Subject Matter Patents (Inventions) Subject Matter (secondary) Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body, Plant Variety Protection Notes This consolidated version of the Law on Patents incorporates the amendments up to Law on Amendments of the Law on Patents (Official Gazette Republic of Serbia No. 66/2019), which entered into force on September 26, 2019.

The said amending Law No. 66/2019 of September 18, 2019 introduced the following amendments to this consolidated version of the Law on Patents:
- Section II, Article 7 (paragraph 2 deleted, former paragraphs 3, 4 & 5 became paragraphs 2, 3 & 4, in paragraph 5, the words “paragraph 5 are replaced with words “paragraph 4”);
- Section IV, Article 43 (paragraph 3 amended and paragraph 4 deleted);
- Section IX, Article 57 (amended), Article 58 (paragraphs 1 & 2 amended and paragraph 3 deleted), Article 59 (deleted), Article 60 (paragraphs 2 & 3 amended), Article 61 (a new paragraph including 1 to 7 added after paragraph 1), Articles 62 & 63 (amended), Article 65 (deleted), Article 66 (amended);
- Section X, Article 112a (amended, after the words: 'in the proceedings' the words 'formal and' are added);
- Section XIV, Article 149 (new paragraph 11 added after paragraph 10).
