Year of Version 2014 Dates Adopted: February 1, 1955 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Other Notes The Penal Code of 1955 was published under Chapter 58 (Cap. 58) of the revised edition of the Laws of Seychelles. This was consolidated on December 1, 2014, and includes amendments up to Act No. 7 of 2012.

The notification by Seychelles to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'The consolidated Penal Code of 1955 contained provisions to prosecute criminal acts, such as the import of counterfeit and/or pirated goods(s) into Seychelles.'

Section 332 of Chapter XXIV under Division VII of the consolidated Code provides that the false document mentioned in the said Division does not include a trade mark or any other sign used in relation to articles of commerce even if they may be written or printed.
